Description:

Monophonic synthesizer with analog signalpad (VCA,VCF with resonance) controlled and programmed via MIDI or locally via the stylus. All sounds are made using only 16 parameters (no menus) and can be stored/recalled on the unit. It has an oscillator with PWM and a Suboscillator. Two syncable modulators can act as Envelope Generator or LFO. In the LFO mode they have the possibility to apply patterns to their waveforms creating dynamic modulation sequences as can be heard in the example sounds.
Hand movements above the unit control the filterfrequency (sound2).
The VCF circuit (HP/LP) is new but is inspired by the concept of the PoliVoks filter. Here it is simplified to using only one commonly available opamp.
The VCA is a simple circuit using a vactrol (LED-LDR combination).
Schematics and pcb will appear on this page but details on the circuit designs can be found at the page: Synthesizer circuits

The PCB is designed to form a stand-alone mini-synthesizer (7cm width) including keyboard .The stylus is made from a pencil. An Arduino Minipro is placed in the socket shown on the backside picture.
